How many therapy sessions might I need?
Unchained Therapy does not limit therapy sessions because trauma, anxiety, anger and depression can take time and patience to resolve.
You decide when you're ready to finish therapy.
The aim is that when you're ready to end therapy you're feeling pretty much like this:

Will an assessment be made about me?
Yes. This is because an assessment is about your protection and well-being should you come into therapy here. Therapy is emotional work, and being in the right mindset is important.
Assessment looks at your general state of psychological and emotional well-being, your reasons for wishing to access therapy here, and your determination to change your current life situation.
The assessment is in two parts - a self-assessment form to be filled out by you and returned before therapy begins. The form asks for basic information such as identification details and family situation, as well as your perspective on your current state of psychological and emotional well-being.
The second part of the assessment will be undertaken by Kath through talking and listening to you. This helps determine that you are in the right mindset for therapy and that knowing your therapeutic needs and expectations, Kath is assured that she can meet them effectively.
Therapeutic Expectations and Agreement
This is a document that you would need to read and acknowledge before therapy begins. It lays out expectations around issues like confidentiality, data protection, fees, cancellations and record keeping.
Records
A record is held for every client. It comprises your assessment form, a copy of the therapeutic agreement and session progress notes. Copies of specific emails, texts or app messages may also be kept, if the situation warrants that. All records are kept locked away when not in use and destroyed after six years.
You are most welcome to see your records whenever you wish.
If you're unsure if therapy is right for you, that's OK. It's a big decision.
But, if you'd like to talk it through with Kath, then phone or email to arrange your free, no-obligation 45 minute chat.
